Ladies Group Home

Boylestone Ladies Group meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm in Boylestone Village Hall. We have 25 members and new members are really welcome.

A year’s subscription (paid in May) costs £10. This covers the costs of our guest speakers who deliver talks on a wide range of topics.

An additional meeting fee of £4 is paid at each meeting attended, which includes refreshments at the meeting and a raffle ticket for a prize drawn at each meeting.

This programme will be circulated at the meeting on 7th May. Please remember to bring your £10  annual subscription fee to this meeting.

            

The May  2019 meeting will be held on 7th May at 7.30pm. The guest speaker will deliver a talk and demonstration on the art of  “Belly Dancing”, which will be really entertaining.

Litter pick: Saturday Morning 13th April 10am 

There will free Bacon Cobs in the Village Hall; George will send for grabbers and bags.

Bluebell Walk on the 4th May – meet in Village Hall Car park – please note new time of 10:30 am and not 10 am as previously published.

Derek will do the same walk as last year

Jonathon at the Lighthouse has confirmed that he will do food and drink at the Lighthouse after the walk. There will be a charge this year, as Ladies Group do not want to set a precedent for asking Jonathan to provide free refreshment.

Ladies’ Group 7th MayVillage Hall 7.30pm

Will be Belly Dancing, with normal refreshments. No costumes. Volunteers only.

Fizzy Wine Tasting on Friday 7th June 7.30pm at Steve and Sally’s

Can’t do fizz for £15; it will have to be £20. Red, white pink and 1 champagne. Canapés to be served with each different fizz.

Scarecrow Festival 13th July : we still will need a judge as Andy Twigge otherwise engaged. Suggestions included the lady from Wellies or Sue Bull, the Mayoress of Ashbourne. We will also do a small well dressing for the festival, possibly depicting a scarecrow. We will need volunteers to make the well dressing for w/c 7th July.

Village Show on Saturday August 24th – show brochure will be available to provide all details

Last night of the Proms: Sat 14th September, on the Croft

Lincoln’s Big TV and the Marquee to go up, so we can watch the Proms live. Additional gazebo may be needed. The choir to be asked to perform. There will be a small show of fireworks although we’ll need to give plenty of warning for any animals in the area. Flags and bunting to be left up after the show.

McMillan Coffee Morning Friday 27th September – Village Hall 10 am

Big Breakfast – Saturday  26th October – Village Hall 10am – 12:00. Proceeds to Boylestone Chapel 

Christmas Lights Switch On – Friday 29th November – meet at 7pm for 7.30

The VIP switching on the lights will be confirmed soon. A “Christmas get together and Disco” is to be held in the village hall after the lights have been switched on – will laughing and dancing a plenty.!!!!!

Christmas Coffee Morning – Saturday 30th November 10am -12 am 

There will be  a coffee morning in the Village Hall which will include refreshments and a stall selling quality goods and gifts to get us in the Christmas spirit. Donations for the stall will be gratefully received. Collection points to be conformed nearer the time.
